COVID-19 Chronicles: Bennie
BLOG POST 1: THE ANDERSON HOUSEHOLD
I’m here. Sort of, I guess, but I’m here. It’s day three of the quarantine. I look in the mirror, and I have no idea what I see. The hairiness is real. I’ve reached and found my inner sasquatch as the hair growth on my face and across my body is like a black, swampy forest. As I deal with this new crazy world, I’m trying my gosh diddly darndest to be productive. Every day’s a challenge, and I really just want to work out, eat, and sleep. But my God-sent girlfriend makes sure I stay productive, but man do I miss her. Now that all three of the Anderson boys and one Anderson man are home, the kitchen has become a warzone. A fight for survival. The Contestants. A 6’2 eighth grader who’s 15th in the country in long jump and what he lacks in girth he more than makes up for with grit. A 6’4, 260 lbs sophomore with a mean streak. An apathetic senior. And the ultimate boss: a 6’5 seasoned vet who has old man strength. It is a cold game, and there will only be one survivor. Who will win? Who will survive? Only time will tell. Stay tuned and find out!
