On Wednesday, Westminster will be collecting PJs, hats, gloves, and mittens for two outstanding organizations. The donations will be supporting One Heart Family Ministries and The Freedom School.

One Heart Family Ministries is a local St. Louis charity that helps children who are struggling in the foster care system. Robin and Dave Kruse started One Heart after becoming a foster family in 1990. They witnessed the negative effects that foster children endure when being moved from one home to another, so they created this charity to help encourage countless Christian families to help these hurting children. Because of their work, over 240 families have become adopted children in Missouri since 2004.

The other charity that Wednesday’s donations will go to is The Freedom School here in St. Louis. The mission of this school is to provide an opportunity for children to break free from the shackles that a failing neighborhood school can produce.

Both of these organizations will greatly benefit from the abundance of winter clothing provided from Wednesday ITSOG.
