The Wildcats, seeded 4th, played against Parkway Central, seeded 5th, in a district quarterfinal game held at Parkway Central this evening. The game started slowly, with the Colts taking a 10-6 lead through the first quarter. However, the Wildcats fought back through the second quarter, playing smarter and faster. By halftime, they had taken the lead with a score of 24-23.
The second half began with JD Robinson scoring the first points of the half with two 3-pointers. With the help of Will Powers, the Wildcats dominated the third quarter, extending their lead to 39-32. The final quarter started with excitement in a “win or go home” nailbiter. JD continued to rain down 3-pointers, and Powers continued to dominate.
“JD Robertson is him,” said “Gateway Sports Venue” author John Hugh. The game ended in celebration for the Wildcats with a final score of 57-36. JD Robertson had 27 points and Will Powers had 18, earning 45 of the 57 points.
