The Westminster Boys Soccer team are diving headfirst into the upcoming season. “Although we may not be the biggest team, nothing is going to get in our way” said Landon Cassidy, junior captain.
Despite having to say farewell to nine talented seniors, the team is thrilled to welcome 2 promising freshmen and several skilled players promoted from the Junior Varsity squad.
“Even though it may be my first year, the boys have already welcomed me into the brotherhood” said Gavin Schnieder, freshman.
Last season, their journey came to a bittersweet end, facing a heartbreaking loss in the district final game. Nevertheless, their remarkable 17-6 record showcased their strength, skill, and unwavering teamwork.
“This is the seniors last year, you have to give all your effort into every single drill” said coach legters. He is continually emphasizing the importance of experience and talent, as well as making sure they build their relationship with God.
The boys have been diligently practicing, fine-tuning their strategies, and coming together. “I’ll be honest, at the very first practice I was a little scared. But after a few weeks with the guys, the team is looking way better than I thought” said senior captain Levi Welk. With this blend of experience and new talent, the Boys Soccer team is ready for an exhilarating season, ready to chase their dreams of championship glory.
