Disper throws up two peace-signs before her 500 Freestyle.

Eleanor Disper, junior, has proven to be a prominent force for the girls swim team, displaying great leadership and determination for others to feed off of. Her teammates describe her as “someone that sets a perfect example for everyone to follow, and her cheerful spirit makes everyone work harder at practice,” said Layla Selk, senior teammate.

Disper’s hard work has recently paid off, as she was elected captain of the swim team and led the team to a 12-1 record thus far with multiple victories over tough opponents. Disper specifically had a successful performance at the Columbia invitational meet, where she qualified for state in the 500 Freestyle, 100 Breast, 200 Free, 400 Free Relay, 200 Free Relay, and 200 Medley Relay.

Being the head swim team manager for the boys team, Eleanor is fully committed to Westminster’s swim and dive programs as a whole.

“I love finishing a hard swim or set and feeling tired yet accomplished. I love the routine and discipline of swimming and doing it alongside my best friends…I could not imagine my life without being so involved in this sport,” said Disper.
