It All Comes Down to This: Parkway North Preview
Dear Westminster,
We have worked our whole campaign for this very moment. From a 1000 hour battle to overtime heartbreak, our men have been tested and have come out the other side. It is time to put it all together in a do-or-die battle with the Vikings of Camp Parkway North.
The temperatures continue to drop, yet this group of men is just starting to warm up. We are a cold-weather army, winning four of our last five battles. Now, we are the chosen ones to bring down the Vikings. These lost Scandanavians have wandered far from the seas of the east, and it is time to send them back to their home.
We are planning to attack their camp at 1900 hours this Friday evening. We plan to attack with much stealth, and a strict all-black dress code will be enforced for spectators. We will blend in with the night and emerge victorious.
There comes a time for all men where a decision is to be made. When faced with the threat of losing everything one possesses, you must choose to stand up and fight for what is yours or you will cower under pressure. So I ask all the metro area militiamen, what will you do? Will you be a part of an army that will go down in the history books? The time for an answer is now. With a loss, our camp will fall into the hands of the Vikings.
I will not go silently into the night! If any one of you has no faith in our abilities to win, you may as well not even accompany the rest of the men on the trip. The story of this battle will be passed down from generation to generation for centuries to come.
Every army has dreams this time of year, dreams to fend off attacks, dreams to take over the whole state. I do not like dreams anymore, I am into nightmares now. You have to end someone else’s dream. We are not trying to beat Camp Parkway North or claim victory over our district, we are here for a State Championship.
With love,
800 Sporting
